Today I worked on and finished my project reflection and summary before brainstorming ideas for my next project.

Today after coming in an hour early, I found that my previous class had been cancelled this week. I proceeded to continue with my project - My advertising poster.

This week was somewhat uneventful, I arrived a few minutes late due to my previous class running long, then continued with the sketch for my poster for the rest of the class.

Today I started sketching the head for my next project which is to develop a still art poster.

Today I converted the .mp3 file that flash wouldn't accept to a .wav, It worked much better.|
I then proceeded to loop the animation for the length of the song.

Today we're back from the holdiays.
I completed the animation and was ready to add the music, but flash didn't want to accept the file format I had chosen.
I'm going to convert the music to a .wav format next lesson.

Today I finished the mane and tail, and began animating the turntable's arm and her head.

Today I continued to vector the final components of the Turntable.
Next week I should be ready to move onto the actual animation.

Today I continued my current character animation. adding the turntable and it's components.
I also learned how to dertermine the position of keyframes required for animation from the bpm of a song.

Today I continued working on my third animation.

Today I proceeded to work on the final animation in this stage of the course.
I decided to animate Vinyl Scratch from the popular animated TV show My Little Pony: Friendshi is Magic, headbanging to her music.

Today I finished the next stage of my animation.
I completed the animation of the eyes, brows and doubled the number of frames in the hair cycle.

I also discovered a severe hatred for shape tweens.

Today I continued to work on my animation in the hope that one day soon I will catch up with the class.

Today I continued with my animation, and watched three animation tutorial videos .
I hope to have this completed by next week.

Today I finished the 45 degree angle of my character and added the background.

Today I vectored one of my sketches, converted each limb to symbols and began animation.

Today I changed the design of my character to  something simpler, more suited to the basic animation we're doing.
I sketched out all 3 angles in Sai with one of the tablets.

Next week I will begin the animation by vectoring and sectioning the images in Flash.

Entry 4

This week I was the first one here, thus I was able to use one of the tablets.
At first it was difficult due to how alien it was to me, but as I got used to it it became easier.

Today I've uploaded some progress screenshots of my work.

Entry 3

Today I finished the last two sketches of my character, then vectored the first one in Adobe Flash Professional CS5.

We were supposed to begin using the Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch graphics tablets today, but as new students have joined the class, and a member of the school staff forgot one, we were 2 tablets short, I did not get to use one.

Today due to time restraints I was the only one to do the touch typing test, my score was 39.2 words per minute.

Today I sketched out my character for use in animation at a later date.

As a group we also did a touch typing test, I managed 38.4 words per minute with 96.9% accuracy rating.

Blogger.com is currently blocked on the schools network, unlike the others I have my own internet and thus was able to update mine.

My name is Jesse Murray and I created this blog to post my Development Journal, which is a requirement of my Community Studies course at the ILC.

Some of the things I'll be writing in this blog will cover Animation, Photoshop and Digital Publishing .

Today I have written my Community Studies contract.
